General information
The NASL has two sections, Basic Hepatology and Clinical Hepatology that together aim to support all liver science in the Netherlands. To this end, the NASL organizes the Dutch Liver Week, a training for physicians in training for hepatologist. In addition, we organize the Dutch Liver Retreat, a meeting for all basic researches interested in the liver and aimed to stimulate interaction of various groups in the Netherlands.
Together with other organizations involved in hepatic and gastrointestinal research, we hold additional scientific meetings twice a year. The venue is at Veldhoven, in the Netherlands.
The Spring meeting includes a separate sub-meeting – the Dutch Experimental Gastroenterology and Hepatology meeting (DEGH) – which focuses on more basic/fundamental work. The autumn meeting only accepts abstracts relating to clinically-oriented research.
